Worship With Us!

At St. John, worship is a time of reflection, prayer, interaction and celebration. Some folks still wear their "Sunday best," while others come casually dressed clutching their morning coffee.  Mostly, we believe in coming as you are, and we believe God will meet you wherever you are.  


Children are celebrated in worship, beginning as they process in with the pastor each Sunday.  There are also children's "busy bags" that include coloring books and activities to keep young minds engaged.  Kids can remain with their parents, or participate in church school (offered from September through May).


Communion is open to all who wish to know Christ and experience God in the sharing of bread and cup.  This usually happens once a month, on the first Sunday, and at special services.  We offer wine and juice.  Folks can come forward to be served, or remain in the pew and be served by an usher.


We offer a variety of types of music during worship, from organ and piano to drums and trumpets.  Our handbell choir is awesome. We have both an Adult Choir and childrens choir called C.O.P.s (Children of Praise). We invite special music from members and professionals to add to the creative experience of worship and praise.

Homework Help & Hoops

During the school year HHH offers tutoring from 3-6 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

For 8 weeks in June & July HHH has a Summer Camp that runs Monday-Thursday from 12-2 pm.

To register you child(ren) for HHH Summer Camp, click below to download the registration form. Fill out one form for each child and return to Mandi by email, hhh@stjohnucc-collinsville.org or by dropping it off at church.
2026 Summer Camp Registration Form

HHH is still in need of volunteers including:

  • Kitchen Assistants - food prep and lunch-line service with our amazing returning cook, Ms. Alta, between 10:15 am and 1:00 pm (This can be 1 or more days each week)  
  • Group Leaders - Monday - Thursday from 11:45 - 2:00 pm eating lunch with and leading one age group of children (groups from 1st - 6th grade) around to their class and activity rotations.
  • Camp Counselors - Teens and adults to be group and classroom assistants age (This can be 1 or more days each week - must be age 15 or older)  
  • Reading Buddies - 10 Adults willing to listen to / help children read on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 12:30-2 pm.
  • Pre-K Classroom Teacher - Monday - Thursday from 11:45 - 2:00 pm 1 Adult to daily lead 60-minutes of pre-K curriculum (your choice) in a Learning Tree Preschool classroom and take the Pre-K campers to their activity rotations (Incudes 2 daily adult/teen helpers)
  • One Day Presenters - If you have a hobby or life skill that you could teach the kids, we’d love to talk to you about about teaching a 30-minute class for 3 age group rotations!
