Worship With Us!

At St. John, worship is a time of reflection, prayer, interaction and celebration. Some folks still wear their "Sunday best," while others come casually dressed clutching their morning coffee.  Mostly, we believe in coming as you are, and we believe God will meet you wherever you are.  


Children are celebrated in worship, beginning as they process in with the pastor each Sunday.  There are also children's "busy bags" that include coloring books and activities to keep young minds engaged.  Kids can remain with their parents, or participate in church school (offered from September through May).


Communion is open to all who wish to know Christ and experience God in the sharing of bread and cup.  This usually happens once a month, on the first Sunday, and at special services.  We offer wine and juice.  Folks can come forward to be served, or remain in the pew and be served by an usher.


We offer a variety of types of music during worship, from organ and piano to drums and trumpets.  Our handbell choir is awesome. We have both an Adult Choir and childrens choir called C.O.P.s (Children of Praise). We invite special music from members and professionals to add to the creative experience of worship and praise.

Exemplifying God’s Love and Grace

Living as Christ’s Disciples, sharing the Holy Word with others, loving God and our neighbors, seeking ways to serve needs of our members and community, providing engaging worship and religious education for all generations.


Extending God’s Love and Grace

Enhancing our welcome to be more engaging and inviting, accepting everyone no matter who they are or where they are on life’s journey, including everyone in all that we do and celebrate, and being a church where no one is judged or excluded.


Being a Harbor of God’s Love and Grace

Serving as an anchor for the community, providing a caring and safe place for all, being a resource for help and assistance, identifying and delivering programs that change lives, reaching out and into the community through mission and ministry.
