Oaks Indian Mission Trip

Our youth will be heading back to Oaks Indian Mission in Oklahoma for
their summer mission trip on Sunday, June 9. Along with prayers and
support, the Welcome team would like to send them with some items for
the center and the youth there. Oaks Indian Mission cares for abused,
abandoned, neglected or troubled Native American children. The residents
are in desperate need of some items for their new student center which our
youth painted last summer. We are asking the members of St. John for
donations of the following;

  • board games – ex. Apples to Apples, Scategories, Pictionary, Monopoly‚Ķ
  • easy/beginner sheet music for the piano
  • Giant Jenga that can be played outside or as a large group
  • rechargeable batteries (AA & AAA) and the chargers.
  • Phillips 66 gas cards for the van at the center to be able to take
  • residents to local attractions and a swimming creek in the area.
  • other items they always need: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, loofahs, deodorant,
  • cough drops, Tylenol & Motrin and Band Aids.
  • We will be collecting in April and May. Please leave any donated items with Amy at the church
  • office. Thank you so much for being an active and important part to this mission.
